860 Baseball, New England's finest indoor baseball facility, has put together a 2016-2017 off-season, player development program, specifically designed for Little League players, coaches, and organizations. This program is divided up into 3 specific focus groups:
Targeting each of these development groups, Baseball City aims to teach Little League players correct, solid baseball habits that will become instinctive, as they grow and mature. We believe it is essential that kids learn the correct way to do things - from the professionals at 860 Baseball and from their coaches – right from the start, in order for them to realize their dreams and earn their own successes out on the diamond.
Focus & Curriculum
Our recommended Little League player development program is geared toward teaching kids “The Big Three:” hitting, pitching (throwing), and position play (i.e. catching, infield & outfield play). It focuses on essential core mechanics for different ages and different abilities in order to be most effective, and is based on a professional curriculum put together by Baseball City owner, and current Major League Scout for the Seattle Mariners, Bill Masse. The program – which teaches the essentials to kids and proper technique to coaches – is proven to cover all of the important areas of the game in order to make your town Little League program the best it can be when the season gets started.
Mobility & Learning
These development sessions can be held either at the Baseball City facilities or at a location of your choosing. Baseball City will take our clinics and instruction to wherever you are holding your workouts during the off-season for a reasonable rate. At Baseball City, we want the “correct” development of these young players – not costs - to be our top priority, and can always work with you on price.
